Chip Kelly

After Oregon's heart breaking season opener to the Broncos of Boise State, emotions were running high. So high that one disgruntled Oregon fan that had traveled all the way to Boise, wanted his money back.

Chip Kelly obliged to the email he received and promptly sent a check for $439 to Tony Seminary for the travel expenses.

This act is seemingly unheard of in the world today. Perhaps it was the embarrassment that the Oregon program received when LaGarrette Blount promptly cold cocked a Boise State player after the game.

College football fans probably shouldn't get too comfortable with this action though as it doesn't seem as though it will happen again anytime soon. Coaches simply don't care enough about what a single person thinks or says to send them a refund check.

Hats of to you though Mr. Kelly, there aren't many out there that would have done the same.

  1. I feel as though Coach Kelly did this as an act of sarcasm rather than kindness. I feel as though it was less of an "I'm sorry" and more of a "Stop bitching, and don't come to anymore games" ... I'm not saying that I don't support coach Kelly because the fan sounds like a little bitch. So still, well done...

  2. Yeah I am not so sure that this was an act of true apology. Regardless, I am more concerned with the direction of the college football fan base if this is how they are going to act after losses. I am sorry but this is College Football, it is riddled with upsets, crazy comebacks, and unexpected games. Sure be mad that your team lost but accept that that is the nature of the game. I hope the fan base isn't turning out to be like this bitch ass fucktard.
